There’ssomething I was missing, something free and true, gorgeous, glorious, faithful,pure, just the way I thought…

Ithought I would never let go but it took just time to prove that the shadowsare not the real thing we should hold onto. Sometimes the pains just come toshow the right way to pleasure, so the failures too, to show the road tosuccess. Much think success should come to them the way they’ve perceived, themoment failure comes to show the right path to what is known as thelife worth living.

Holdingtoo much to the fear of failing, the anxiety that shows up each time there’s athreat to the life we are used to; waking up in the morning and everything isnormal without anything extra ordinary or if I could say extra normal to whatwe were handed by our parents and environment as the right path with no reasonto be worried. Recently I said to God; “Ireally don’t understand why am doing this but because I promised (vowed), I’lljust keep doing it coz he that put his hands on the plow and looks back is notfit for the kingdom…’’ holding uphas to be by commitment. The truth’s commitment itself is a price to pay forcontinuation of anything you want to do even if your belief or faith is shaking…thepoint; there’s a reason I felt it was right in the first place. So holding back isn’t the right way to be free becausefreedom is not void of confusion that comes, but in it lies peace or the hopeavailable therein when you are down, or the possibility of someone ever readyto lift you up in your lowest times; the times that seem to only come with questionsas if answers will never be realities. Certain things will happen and will keephappening, so? What they will be, I might not be able to tell but I knowsolutions are ever available and they are deep within you. I really don’t expectyou to believe that just like that coz it takes absolute faith in the One thatcreated you.

Theability to reach any level you can ever think of is available to you. It’s notabout what you know. Your past experience might be so evident though, but aboutwhom you really are and who your Maker made you; the ability you have isforever there and will remain, you have what it takes within; Note that havingis different from experiencing and most of us have reduced our lives to ourparents or the environments’ experiences. A very simple way of explaining thisis the fact that you already have the ability to write, to drive, swim, fly aplane…he that does not have the ability is useless and I don’t think the Godthe Father I know made anyone to be useless, so the ability to be who He wantsyou to be was handed over to you before you gained consciousness. It is just apainful truth that we all go to school to be conditioned to fit into a way ofthinking, and when we are done probably at the master’s level, the mediacontinues to condition us to the societal expectations

Iknow you would have at one point or the other asked “can this ever be possible,can I get through this, what will my wife/husband say about this decision amabout taking, can there ever be someone that will believe in me…?” You justhave to look a little inward, I could decide to whisper anything to whomevercares to listen but I need to get close enough to communicate. Whoever willbenefit from the info am passing around through my whispering will have to riskgiving me the chance and listen to what I have to say. Yet my whispering couldmislead but the One within can never.

Justlike when I decided to quit building on the wrong foundation in my life, takinga decision was so scary; I weighed who Imight become if I let fear lock me in and building a very new foundation together, I preferred the latter, consequenceswere there to even make me say bye-bye to a future free of worries and regretand settle down for what I had but I kept on hearing within: “ Fearnot; you will no longer live in shame. Don’t be afraid; there is no moredisgrace for you. You will no longer remember the shame of your youth and thesorrows of your widowhood” Isaiah 54:4. People tried probing, theyasked those that were close to me, they got no answer and because they got noanswer they criticized what they couldn’t understand. I remained in my decisioncoz I knew it was the only path to a glorious future, I tried sharing withthose I thought could actually see through my eyes but all I got wererejections, judgment, some even thought it was over for me. The Holiness withinsaid, ”close your ears to the noises you hear, to what you feel but open youreyes to a possibility”, possibilities I hadn’t experienced before,possibilities beyond my consciousness, a new way of thinking, taking the riskto hold onto my Maker. Now I know noises are everywhere around, people seem toknow your life better than you do, people that are yet to really have theability to lead their lives are daily advising you to live in certain ways theybelieve is the best. People that know deep within them are not fulfilled, theHoliness within them keeps knocking and asking, when will you beable to have the courage to leave your comfort zone and do what you are reallyhere for? They know they’ve actually settled for a lower life. Fear hassuccessfully locked them up for life, though some are very good Christians, paytheir Tithes and offerings, give and pray very well. Some of them have been ableto quench the yearnings and drive of fulfillment. This is why I just don’t getwhy we keep listening to them when it’s so obvious they are daily failing withthe formulas they hand us every day through their yelling and forceful ways ofcounsels that comes to us.

Iused to have a friend who knows how I should treat my faithful partner but hedidn’t have a relationship. So do many ladies advice lot of their friends onhow to treat their men when they don’t even have any they call their own. Whowould you rather listen to?

2012is still very fresh, we can still pick our pieces, build a new life if we areactually expecting a new thing, and it is never too late. Listen to the voiceof the Holiness within you.

Shift In Paradigm

“You don’t move forward looking back; you don’t succeed focusing on your mistakes….”

Favour just became my first name coz I turned to her, I found favour, I turned to him I found Joy and acceptance. What a way to live.

I thought it will take a longer time than now, but it’s happening so sudden, earlier than I thought. Given the way people thought and concluded or based on the explanation of their conception, the concept of patience cannot even explain what’s happening though faith actually can. Wow!

Do you know there was a time men gave up on me? Though am so, so delighted, none is even around to take the glory. Indeed He touched me not according to the level of ma faith, but according to the level of His integrity. Oh! Did I say integrity, yes His ability, He proved His credibility to me that He that has promised is faithful to fulfill. He blessed ma family, in one month things totally changed, 2011 is a year for me. I don’t know about you but it is never too late if you can stop arguing with HIS way.

Opening up to His will is the only path to receiving from His Ocean of blessing. God proves His greatness to those that search for Him. He is still pouring it out but only a few are receiving from His generosity coz we are busy looking elsewhere; we are looking into our mentality, our own way in which we have defined success, people we’ve perceived to have straight paths are not really where we thought they will be now.

God makes men, no! He makes His words in a person, that’s why destinies can never be locked up. God’s word can never be cursed. It will be an error to think anyone will end up just as you have predicted when s/he is opened up to God’s word. What has He said to you. He visited Sarah according to His word… “The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised” said Gen. 21:1

Do you look for stuffs that are around? God’s a specialist in looking for the lost, that’s why He found me. Men lose but never even take their time to search for people they’ve lost…you know like the 99-1 principle.

I didn’t grow up with many promises. There was no one to look up to for my desires. I was only conscious of the fact that God has made much promise to generations, that’s why He brought me forth this time and seeeeaaaasooooon.

Beloved; you don’t seek restoration and lifting looking at your mistakes and biting your fingers in regrets. Open your mental memory and delete the day it happened. People you thought will never make it have shifted their focus and thus becoming what they now see. What are you looking at, what are you seeing?

How can you carry the kingdom of God within you and remain on the low side, wallowing in pity and hopping someone will soon come to your rescue when the whole world awaits your manifestation. For me doors are opening up…you know why….? I had a mental adjustment from fear to faith, from impossibilities to possibilities, from limitations to greatness. There’s a shift in paradigm. I carry God and situations answers to me. Rejections flee. My steps, laughter, carriage and smiles have actually changed. What a conscious way to think.

Now I believe there’s a way and how to serve God. Oh, you didn’t know? These hows are what will attract the blessings of God to anyone’s life. If it’s just about being born again, look around, you will see there are people who have been born again... ten, fifteen, twenty and even thirty years but there’s nothing that looks like a blessing. God I appreciate you, men and family are now saying “Uduak’s a special child, oh! Its buf you know.

I want to do things because God’s my guide: what has God asked you to do but you stepped away from? This is the only reason His blessing stepped away from many.

While I leave you thinking about this, remember 2011 can still be your year only if you can trust Him totally to know what really counts is …just to know thus says the Lord. You don’t have to be too intelligent for God’s simplicity.

DESTINY CALLS

“I don’t know what is happening but we have to keep moving”

What or who you are is not in the perception of what they say or how they act to you.

You can’t carry defeat around in your mind. You know why? Victory lies in the same mind which can only be accessed if you first agree it’s there. God is not interested in those that won’t let faith lead the way.

For long, I had always known I am ready, I just didn’t know how to go about my life. I hadn’t ever lived before. This is my first time here; it’s my first time to be alive. Though they said there was a life before now but how am I supposed to know if that’s true. Do I just gulp history down my fragile mind? Am I not the one setting the pace here? It’s my life. God didn’t just decide to risk the blood of His Son for me, but gave me all the support; The Holy Spirit, His Angels and Prophets. Will I just let Him down because of people’s perception, criticism or the way things are for now? The failure is not in my mind anymore but in the mind of those who constantly gaze at short comings.

To change what is in your hand, you have to constantly change what sits in your mind said Joshua Telena.

I know for sure that no matter how much you have failed, there will always lie within a little spark just enough to ignite the beauty you are dreaming of.

The ladies won’t all say ‘No’…The employers won’t all say ‘No’….The embassies won’t all say ‘No’….The Examiners won’t all say ‘No’…tears from your eyes won’t only be your response to rejection or regret but you will shed the tears of joy, if and only if you believe…

There’s got to be a YES somewhere, there’s got to be someone who is willing to risk it all for you. It’s your call to find the path or to find another way to do what is right, rather than suspecting every glimpse of success approaching because of your experience …life becomes more beautiful the moment we realize the mistakes we make can only make us stronger, so do people we love come short of the norms or the rules of engaging in the activities of our environment, but do we close or give up because of this?

Were we given manual for life or people just invent one for you? You sit in the holdup hopping to get to the office early enough to avoid…. you go to college and in a moment a lecturer is not happy with you…yes this happens a lot in my environment. He can decide to walk out of your life because he feels he is doing you a favour, so can she, big deal…

But when these happen, what follows? Tears of fear begin sliding down your face and it drops on the floor but in a moment it dries off, and I ask myself; is this as a result of the occurrence or your mindset? No, I am asking you coz I came here alone covered with blood from my mother’s womb. Did she scream pushing me out when it was time for my delivery, yes she did coz they said she did. After which she became overwhelmed by the joy of her new born child waiting to face the battles for greatness. Who has to find his place in life by being able to answer his “why”, and where he lacks the right judgment, he fails but must have the right mindset to be able to tread on his obstacles.

Here’s the deal angel; any mind put into the right use is richer than a goldmine. God did not give you a land with gold or oil but gave you a mind that can come up with ideas rich enough to place you at any level in the world and heaven for free. Say that again Buf, no you read that again…

A mind full of doubt can only conceives things he will doubt. So is a suspicious mind; He will suspect everything and everyone that comes around. He/she might never settle down in marriage, he/she will suspect his wife; she will suspect her husband…

Once upon a time, everyone in a village decided to pray for rain. When they gathered for prayers, only one boy came with umbrella, that’s FAITH.

When you throw a baby in the air, he laughs because he knows you’ll catch him. I think that’s TRUST.

Every night we go to bed with no assurance of waking up the next day but we always have plans for the next day, again, I think that’s HOPE.

Faith, Trust and Hope are all states of the mind of the assurance of success, therefore looking at your future from the perception of the guarantee that you will be there, that place of success and victory is the only key to success, like my colleague, Chidinma Uzoechi will always put it; “we go make am”. Christ in me the hope of glory.

For me, I believe there’s yet a glory that waits, if you stick to it.

What Do I Think About Myself?

Thought are things, said Earl Nightingale. Sometimes in the twentieth century, neurosurgeon proved this statement true. When you can picture something precisely and in detail in your mind, you can bring it into reality…..

Who would I have been if my name was Tuesday? Hmmm, probably be after everyone called Monday...
What if I was called Bush or Clinton? May be I would have had the opportunity to control the most powerful army in the world.
What about Justin? May be the big star the ladies are dying to be with because of his present asset value. Hmm, does this mean some people will rather go for one's present value and commit the unknown future to the best INSURER; GOD..? A better today actually sounds tempting. Don’t you think so or who wan suffer…..? I will however sound a word of warning: God deals with us in different ways and in other not to miss out of His plan for us; we need to allow the process. Linking back the thought with a the name Mandela should actually be a good one but I don’t think I want to consider been a Mandela or I surely have to think about it very well, my God! This man spent over 20 years in the prison. Don't let me specify the exact number of years incase there is any mother trying to name her child after him. The truth? Am yet to see or hear anyone called by that name. We celebrate this African hero but will never want to even consider his path to success. Oh, someone said "no way".

Abram was changed to Abraham; father of many nations, yet he only saw a promised child in his entire lifetime He died fulfilled believing God will fulfill His words even after his death, of-course, after guaranteeing the promised child is married to a woman of good choice, a wife who had an understanding of the promise program.

My name is Uduak, meaning God's Will, a man with so much hurt yet, still praising God.

A man with many contradictions yet, still holding on to God's promises in His word.
A man with many difficulties, yet, triumphing...

A man with much disappointment yet, still encouraging….

A man with so much rejection, yet, accepted...

He is so passionate about anything he has the conviction to do and so does he to the people around. Those he loves and adores. I know if you are so strongly and love with such a fervor that which you are convinced of, your complete mental dynamics work with a supercharged power. Its happened to me several times. But the question is: do any of these contradictions have anything to do with my name?

I have heard that most men of great success have or had at one point experienced challenges in their areas of success. Must it always be this way?
We are told 'this time' purifies and define the path we should take towards destiny (James 1:2-12). Probably be this is why Socrates said “the unexamined life is not worth living”.

If this is totally true, do our names actually push us to the paths of destiny or things just happen by chance? Even though I don't believe in chance I think we should leave that question to the theologians or someone who is ready to debate it till the cloud turns grey…Oya, it is your call oh! I have met many who were asked to change their names believing their set backs in life is associated to their names. Please don’t read me wrong; I am not saying don't act based on your conviction. I just don’t only believe, I know your view about who you see yourself to be irrespective of undesired situations has more to do with you living a fulfilling and successful life: Most people call themselves success yet, they are treading the path of failure based on what they have been made to believe.

Yesterday someone listened to me and all she could say was “Wow, can I be a friend, you are just multi-talented and intelligent” but I had at some point very recently been told….

I had attended an interview with this view of myself because I decided to dwell on that
thought. People can say or call you anything depending on their state of minds. Defining yourself based on people's states of minds is to be a leaf in the wind.

Jesus however, did not stop at "who do men say I am?" Men will never get the wisdom of your creation except those it is revealed to. It can be revealed to those who have a part to play in your call: but based on this principle; they can only be twelve out of five thousand, three out of twelve and one out of three; one with love, for love is the only reason we can still say Haba FATHER...

We believe your only reason of existing is to reach out for your success.

We Love Our Lives

Looking back is causing me to laugh. Forever, God has done what I can't but laugh for in our lives. I am a product of His love. I am a product of His mercy and a concept of His second chance. I am an example of God's extension of grace to humanity. Though, it took me a great deal to trust in His Love. Some times I ask myself; has He really forgiven me? I couldn't even hold back tears when I saw His love in action in my life, family and relationship. Indeed I am not where I used to be; just this time last year I did not have a pattern of beauty but I am convinced today we are living for a purpose, His purpose, not just for our lives but through us as an extension of His goodness through the words of PEACE.

He gave us victory in every area of our lives, even in battles we knew nothing about; what can I say when the AUTHOR of life HIMSELF cares so much about us. His presence is awesome and the feeling is so deep. I can't explain the beauty of His Majesty.

Someone said He is the ETERNITY THAT SWALLOWS UP ETERNITY; I AM THAT I AM IS HIS NAME. HE IS THE GOD OF WAR. HE IS OUR "JUST IN TIME".

Hey, just as there are evidences of what you might decide to call short comings in my life, the feeling of His provision and ability is even stronger.

I can say now that for every life He is LORD over can never know any shame. Someone said, "you don't have any idea of what i am going through". You know the truth? I don't. I am not you; I don't have your body. Your sense of feeling is your body, but I can tell you that, the pain in your heart, your pattern of thoughts and beliefs can only hurt or give you a sense of freedom. How beautiful can it even get, to know Jesus actually feels what you are going through? He knows the difficulties and the definitions you give to what is happening around you, the heart breaks, the disappointments only appear in your mind, for nothing has any meaning or name until you give it one. Some times people; doctors, lawyers, employers, husbands or wife, friends, family members might even say it is over for you. What they are saying is just that we have reasoned these things out based on our experiences, knowledge and understanding inductively, it is not possible but that's just where faith starts. The end of Inductive reasoning as intelligent as it might sound is the beginning of the power of faith.

Can you change Delay to Something Better is Coming?

Can you change Failures to Steps to Perfection?

Can you change Limitation to Platform to raise you up?

Can you change Mistakes to that is Not How to do it?

Those who chose words we use as standards of definitions in the dictionary you carry around were/are humans whose mouth will stink if they don't brush. They even gave meanings based on yesterday's light, exposure or understanding. I think it's not logical to use 1949's or 1825's definition of a situation or words to judge myself or what do you think?

His mercies are new every morning. How many angels will say Holy, Holy, Holy or Amen: Blessings, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen (Rev. 7:12) if there is nothing new about HIM?

I have decided to choose to believe, there is always something new about God every second. Here we operate from a changing world yet still living our lives based on two hundred (200) years age instructions. Isn't that an irony, yet we want a change. Even if nobody is willing to judge you based on who you stand to become, you should at least give yourself a break and begin to see yourself in the place of your desire.

What would you have done, if you are faced literarily with the red sea? Some of us are actually faced with one right now with no knowledge of solution. Just that ours is not called red sea, but we are intelligent enough to call it impossibilities.

You are so tired that you even lack words in your vocabulary to explain your own case that you think is peculiar. God and Moses had contrary opinions in this case. Moses said “....stand still and see the salvation of the Lord...." God said "...Why are you crying to me? Speak to the children of Israel that they go forward...." Ex 14:15

So, do you have a contrary opinion about your growth and success to what God actually sees? Your greatness, joy, success, prosperity and above all becoming a solution to humanity; after you have understudied your situation and can solve problems. You can understand and provide help for those in your present situation.

Can you identify the difference between a man/woman whose call or purpose in life is to be a Doctor and one whose parent forced to study medicine? There is always a way with the called....

Beloved, your understanding of this truth is the joy and aim of our Father. It is the secret of the beauty of your life.

We love our lives because God is that life....

VIEWING YOUR FUTURE WITH FAITH

Faith for success is an effective driving force. So is fear of failure. Believing you can make it is actually what makes the difference. …buf akpan

Regardless of whoever you are talking to, dealing with, you might feel some level of fear. Choke that feeling down. Hold it inside, never let any one sense it. Concentrate on your goal and objective for the year, not on your uncertainties. To take charge of the year, you have to defeat fear and insecurities. Trust me you have what it takes to be the best this year.

You cannot convince me that Baba Adeboye was never at any point in his life fearful or Bishop Oyedepo was never at any point scared of failing.

What I do know is that, even Bill Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter and as far back as you want to go have all been scared and sometimes terrified. You just have to go ahead and do what you think you should do towards attaining the success you desire in faith.

As you progress or try to gain balance, people will try to keep you down by judging you, sometimes you do not make good decisions and you can’t even figure out what you are doing. You must know that people judge others based on their standards. These standards are results of so many factors: background, culture, experience, age, values of transaction…. Life appears differently to people depending on timing, circumstances, penalty level and who is talking to who.

People are not always cautious when they judge you. They believe, once you do certain things or do not play by certain rules they are used to, then you are violating the norms. This they believe poses lots of questions on your integrity. But the truth is:

How normal are the norms?

Who established the norms?

To what directions are the norms leading you; fear, faith, condemnation or contradictions?

President Theodore Roosevelt said: it is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of the deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, and spend himself in a worthy cause; who, at best, knows in the end the triumph of high achievement; and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

Sometimes people verbalize as fact what they think, and if you defer on their idea, you just might be labeled a “compromise” – but you must understand that no one is living for you but they expect you to use their lives as a prototype for excelling while doing what you know how to do best.

You will not do yourself any good if you fold in at every single word of criticism this year. You have a different and unique life. That is why you are you, in that environment, with those parents, with that man/woman, African, Indian, Spanish, Briton, or American, in that location you find yourself. Your worries are not so good. They are not testifying of the Lord’s goodness.

Sometimes even in churches all you hear the pastors emphasize is death, accident, retrenchment, and all the misfortunes last year had to offer. Even though the church has a lot to do in getting fear out of the people, what you must however realize is the facts that, the pastor can only take you to the level of information he possesses. Don’t let it shock you that you might be above his/her level of understanding in your own field.

The truth is that, only you have the power to be where you desire. God is always for you, not against you.

Always remember this: people will only have reasons to believe in you if truly you believe in yourself. No one was born with self doubt, we learnt it. If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do? My answer? Rebuild ! (this is the gospel according to Buf). So remove every self-doubt the environment; the news, the failure, mistakes, setbacks, have instilled into you.

Only believe in faith through trust in God ALMIGHTY.

"TRUST" YOUR FAITH AND NOT YOUR FEARS!!!!!

Letting fear dictate your direction means you trust your fears more than your faith.
Fear can only lead you in the wrong direction, but faith will forever lead you the right way, even when what you see contradicts your expectations.
2011 IS A YEAR YOU WILL NEED TO TRUST GOD MORE.
Tell me those things you can’t do…

11. Wait a minute, am I mistaken? Is the list endless? What other things are you assuming you won’t be able to grasp this fresh year? A year that offers great opportunities for all and sundry.

When I look back at the year (2010), I can tell you it is our best year so far and what that tells us is that it can only and will only get better. The path of the just is as the shining light that shines more and more.
Right now, we might be sowing different seeds, and we obviously will end up reaping different harvest. This we know of a surety, you will reap or harvest in abundance whatever you sow. (DOUBTS, TRUST, LOVE, GIVING, PRAYING, FEARS, CONDEMNING OR JUDGING OTHERS, ENCOURAGEMENT OR WHATEVER I MIGHT NOT EVEN KNOW ABOUT)
At this point you can still check your seeds. The right kind of seed will bring the right kind of harvest at the right time.….
Erase all the fear you have written down in your mind and in your journal and let faith, through trust in God help direct your plans for the year.
Let’s start this year on this note with the right attitude, motivated by the right mindset for the right destination.
So, what will you rather say to your fears?
Remember, we believe that you can’t afford to fail, slack or bow in condemnation. You will leave us broken and unfulfilled if you do this……………

THEY CALL ME CHAMPION

In their view responsibility is the foundation, losing is unacceptable, creativity is essential, quitting is unthinkable, passion is unquenchable, commitment is unquestionable and victory is inevitable…”

1) They call me champion because when I see ditches I build bridges.

2) They call me champion because when I see darkness I know it gave us the idea light was needed.

3) They call me champion because I know there is also a yes in the English vocabulary anytime I hear the word No.

Success is all I was created to believe. My Manufacturer, my Creator, my Maker programmed and conditioned me to see success, so I see success alone.

Anytime I see something contrary to what I know, what I am used too, codes I was programmed by the virtue of my birth to accept; I just understand they are steps toward success (perfection).

So, to me failures, shame, disappointment, difficulties, pain, lack…only implies step towards success (perfection)

What can I say? Success, Victory, Joy are all attainable if you don’t give up just where you are.

Why will Jesus give up His life that I might return to God?

Does this mean God is in the business of restoring relationships by introducing the concept of forgiveness, showing that through His death, shedding His pure and precious blood for unworthy set of people?

He is the One the woman with the issue of blood touched and the flow ceased in a moment.

He is the One most of us call when we need a quick fix and somehow our prayers are answered.

He is the One with the water/wine solution; creating situations and making things work out for our good. Most times we receive understanding at the long run.

Can I say at this point that it takes just one man to change lives? People don’t know who they really are until there’s someone to lead and guide them, sometimes not through direct contact.

Which of these people have you ever had direct contact with; Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King Jr. Shakespeare, James Dobson (my mentor), Matthew Ashimolowo , Miles Monroe, Steve Parks, Anthony Robins, Bill Clinton, Mell Gibson, Gbade Ogunlana, Shola Kolade, Taiwo Adeyemi, Peter Druker, Epictetus, Harry Kahne, Bob Alonge, Panam Percy Paul …….?

Some are still around whom you stand the chance to meet, that is if you are yet to, some are no longer around, but they all have something in common: they’ve been able to help us and are still holding us up, committing their lives to us and those that will lend their ears to what they have to say…

The most beautiful part of this is just that you can be part of anyone’s list of instructors, leaders, mentor,guardian, or someone that can be looked up to. It starts with your willingness or choosing to be there for someone…

My life has been all about Him. I can say that at this point, my heart keeps longing for Him each passing day.

Daily we are surrounded by people who God wants to show how much He loves through us, only to give up on these people who so much yearn for the love of their Maker…

How many more will you shut out?

How many more will mean nothing to you?

How many more will cry in their closet because you closed up on them?

Love is more than some sort of feeling that lasts when things only appear great and you meet up to some set of standards. While we were yet proud, rude, making so many mistakes, doing the wrong things based on the level of our understanding, long before we were conceived, He decided to give up His beautiful and promising life for us. Because he loves us he gave (love in this context implies always giving without caution or expectation)

Some people might never understand God’s love because you did not have the heart to tolerate or help them up when they were down. I discovered it is not so much of a hard work loving those God wants to show love through me, but a decision that ushers in great grace. It might at least show or lead them to the point of survival or at least, it could get them somewhere: through me, through you—God can show His pure and uncompromising love to people.

It’s been three (3) long hours, trying to put this piece together with someone in mind. I know it will help. The whole idea is because I believe in you, yet I seem lost sometime even though it is my passion to encourage someone. I just cannot understand…but “cannot understand” wins trophies, wins games, passes exams, becomes famous, gets the best of family and most times fulfills God’s promises and purpose. So even if I cannot understand or see or know you, I know your Father. How? He is my Father too and just now He said: “they that put their trust in the Lord shall not be put to shame”.

May be you should wait another day for His provision and deliverance.

When you don’t understand but follow God with obedience like Abraham did and Sarah decided to risk her future, committing it to a man that sounded confused without even a clear sense of direction.

I think she believed in something because, I am yet to see anyone, who can breath without hope. Who can move, give, laugh or smile, love without hope…

Some will rather back out through divorce or say “you can go, I will stay” but Sarah did not give up on her love, she did not shut him out of her life nor did she close her heart to him, she believed in him instead.

You should be there for someone, don’t you think so?

Life is funny. Did you say cruel? Whatever you say, I can still laugh out loud because of my understanding. The people I have in one way or the other lived with, heard them counseling from deep wealth of experience tell me there is hope for anyone who chooses to lose their doubt and move up to faith.
I have gathered together some names and stories that can’t but get you thinking and encourage you to give up trying to fix your life but letting God be the refiner of the gold that you are. Though, there is someone more than gold on the list but you just have to let me do this. Again the list is not in the order of importance but because you can never be the least in my life but the best God has made you.
Faith is that conviction, motivation, joy, security, unselfish, sacrifice, beauty, words, actions that is full of vitality that it exudes the strength that causes tombstone to roll back, darkness to turn to light, rejection to turn to acceptance, hatred to turn to love, beauty and death to turn to life.
1) Dr Tayo Brown; I grew under him to believe if you hold unto God, He will give you a life worth living, he despised the shame, criticism and moved into glory. Today he is a man you want to listen to.
2) Sis Pat; Despite the fact that many people gave up on her, she is still standing in the faith, vibrant, though might not be seen or known, her heart is large and beautiful.
3) Temitayo, More…Despite the odds, believes so much in me far beyond measures. She picked me up when I was thrown away, took away the dust, stains, pain, shame and wiped away my tears with her words. She has a beautiful and an understanding heart and very strong in the faith. I will love and appreciate you for ever by God’s grace. God, give me strength to be there for you at all times. You are a woman of honor and wisdom.
4) The Akin Ojesina; Despite their odd and situations that would have naturally stood between them, they are still standing and alive in the faith.
5) Sherry Witt-Hines; My dear friend and sister, Despite her challenges, her daughter going through what the doctors have given several names medical names that don’t exist in faith, she is still holding on to God for a promised change. Read her testimony “All is SO much better in the Hines Family! Thank you Jesus! Kelly is wanting to go see the horses again. Went yesterday and going again today! Praise God”.
6) Edward Akpan; who neglected his own needs, desires and aspiration to put other people’s need ahead of his and decided to give people like me a life. Thank you brother, only God can give glory to the pain of those sacrifices for us all…indeed you are living out your name.
7) Femi Faniku; Despite the days of tears, fears, doubt and the possibilities of joy so slim, he is leading his thought and very firm in the faith, your Given Joy will forever be.
8) Tholu Dele-Ige, a woman of virtue, respect and honor. She is more than strong in the faith. Your husband loves you.
9) Mrs Basie Akpan; My mom, each time I look at her sacrifices for us, my heart bleeds. How can a mother be this good? Preferring to give her life for her children, even when I see mothers putting their children and homes last in search of career. They get it but sometimes lose their homes, but Mama blends the two with balance and I can only say thank you. You are my hero.
Her family was close to breaking I was just two (2) and still very innocent but she gave up on her career to fight back for her family. Yes she succeeded and we are getting bigger by the day.
There is a Mother, Mummy Odusolu, I never met but those that stayed with her say; “you were virtue and wisdom in bodily form and endurance in definition. I sincerely love you.
10) Mell Brown ; though young but you can’t look at him and not be hopeful. He seem to find a way to make things appear easy with his charming smile. God bless you boy.
11) Wunmi Akinloye; she lost her Mom, as if that was not enough, she failed her final exam but she said “God knows about it” hmm! She is still very strong in faith. She is also a testimony today and an overcomer. I owe it to you.
12) Sarah Brown; She is a mother, full of wisdom and understanding. Looking at her from far tells me a lot with the little she says. A lot of people depend on that faith you posses.
What more can I say? I just decided to pick twelve (12), out of the numerous testimonies that abound around me, yours is there, have you forgotten? But what I can say in conclusion of this part is that, as you read on, your challenging situation is only allowed to strengthen someone, somewhere.
You can’t afford to give up now…there is surely an expected end. There will be a turn around…

Break Away

“If you let it, you will find a way to remain in faith”

You know it is deeper than you can see. It feels right to see how precious it could be when you reach deep into yourself.

You know you are more than who you have been; most especially your perception of people’s thought.

Sometimes I just wake up from my dreams and pay full attention to reality but the memories of the dreams last longer as reality fades away each passing night, pushing us to new ones until the day we can finally say “I’m living out my dreams”.

Again we forget who we really are and just let the pain, anxiety, worries run faster than us yet when we stop running, the siblings of pain hang around: their noises so much that we can’t even hear love, beauty, peace, breakthrough and redemption knocking. So we don’t open the door, though some of us actually stay by the door with full conviction that there is an expectation that cannot be cut short and a lot of times this proves to be true.

Though the baby falls several times as he/she tries to walk, his/her feet will be firm with time right mothers? That is what experience says, guaranteeing us that some day very close can be christened better days.

The words of William James: “compared to what we ought to be, we are only half awake” fits into this thought, but even when Adam slept, he woke up to meet Eve. That tells me God keeps working to make things appear easier for us. He is creating situations that have never been before, in the history of mankind just to prove you are unique.

Just to prove you deserve the best. Just to prove He is and will keep working out things /situations on your behalf.

Don’t only wish you can see the real you but allow the real you to take charge by breaking away from the truth that might not be right about your life: your own case is unique because it’s the way God wants it.

Break away from the lies. Break away form the limiting thoughts: you can fly higher than the eagles if you believe and learn how to. Don’t forget that even the eagles from their first days don’t know how to until they learn, they are scared of height too at their early days, so it is a choice and so can everything be a choice; either you want to become the man/woman that will walk through the storm or build a wall to withstand the storm, it is a choice.

Either you want to be a leaf in the wind or an eagle in the storm, it is a choice.

Either you want to accept it is over or reach out for a change, it is a choice.

Either you want to remain in unbelief or reach out to the possibilities of triumph.

Either on what fate and the realist say or on what faith says.

If there is one person you really need to believe in, that person is you.

Sometimes history calls: memories all wrapped up with what you should have done better and gotten a better result.

What do you say when people around draw conclusion about your life from your history because history will always repeat itself? Sometimes people look into your eyes and give up on you.

Sometimes you try so hard to communicate the real you but it seems words are just not enough to earn trust, so your heart yearns, your mind twists trying to figure out the substance in a figure one can feel, touch and handle.

Fourteen years ago I thought I had answered the question “Who am I?” but yesterday, I figured out there is more to who I am waking up with a curious heart, a strong desire and a strong choice to be there for you just as it was ordained; “it is written of me in the volume of the books…”

But do you know what my struggle is?

Will you be there for me?

Who are you?

Beyond waking up in the morning and rushing down to that office without being even able to have that breakfast. Beyond going to church, paying that tithe or/and that offering. Beyond the traffic, beyond the fast food and other easy fix.

The question your struggles within have being trying to figure out all along…..

Within these processes there are many more challenges, more questions to answer, more people to please and standards to meet up to. And just about the time you decide to quit, an angel shows up in bodily form, so beautiful and elegant with the largest of heart I have ever heard or read in a book.

Suddenly there is a diversion, a proper road and a unique path is discovered. The beauty of life is finally revealed with a hope never heard of. Then your tomorrow seem more important because the whole idea from even before the creation is about who you stand to become, not who you have been or who you are…so the prediction of the carnal mind suddenly becomes wrong, the analysis and calculations do no longer have the answers because faith just grew stronger than fate in your life.

With every young air that blows, there is freshness; beauty, pleasure and you seem to be a point, a very strong point in someone’s life…

If a ninety (90) years old womb gave birth to the promise of hope for those that will put their trust in Him. A dry womb gave birth to Prophet Samuel! What an irony. Hope was restored in a funny way. Answered produced when the questions became more.

God, I saw the angel, her name is Mofeoluwa, even though I was wrongly accused, You caused me to run again. Let those reading this piece run again into greatness Lord….

Finally I lost the guilt. You can also stop communicating with those memories.

BEAUTY OF THE PAIN

I knew if I cried, it would have been easier, searched for that state of heart or mood to get myself out of the troubles but I couldn’t. My visions were blurred so I could not see save the image I had in my head of a beautiful atmosphere and where to reach my Maker for answers that will form a picture of certainty in my mind again. I believed in faith and still do but I was in a stage where nothing made sense; why will my joy be stolen when i thought I had the breakthrough or almost gotten to the promise of a rest? This was the question going through my mind, when I remembered; Moses saw the promise but never entered. But the truth is that I have a better covenant because without me, even father Abraham cannot be perfected (Heb 11:40). Yet with this knowledge there was no harmony between reality and faith.

Are you there? I was there; at this stage of confusion and hopelessness. The only thing that kept coming to mind was “A beautiful release and distraction (I didn’t even mind sin) from everything as I recalled the words from a song:

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel “not good enough?
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction, oh beautiful release

The pain was so severe, like someone burnt from a fire. Sometimes i woke up in the morning feeling a hole was dug in my heart and the hole becomes deeper the moment i remember the times we spent together, things we did together: like the prayers, playing and the gossips we heard around from sources we trusted as role models; those we decided to confide in but only let us down based on their assumptions that let to their conclusions about us.

Beloved, but there I was, in contact with the reality of disappointment because I refused to see today. Hung on so much to the joy of yesterday as the only prerequisite to the joy of tomorrow.

I judged myself based on who I was and not on who I stand to become or who i am today...Hmm, indeed Temitayo.

Today I have realized both pain and joy lie within the process of thought...

What you chose to believe determines how you think, how you think forms your attitude and your attitudes determine what you attract.

Joy attracts love, peace, favours, grace, blessing, abundance ...and sorrow only invites deterioration, pity,, shame, disappointment, loneliness....

I have learnt that people disappoint you because you let them, you let them determine your joy or sorrow, you depend on them and so you expect them to give you what they don’t have. God relates to us based on how He thinks, based on His spoken or given word; imagine how many would have disappointed him if He relates to us based on our attitude; may be David, may be Abraham, may be Rahab, may be Tamar, may be Judah, may be Paul, may be Peter, may be Moses, may be Joshua, may be Mary, may be Uduak and may be You.

“if God should mark iniquity, who can truly stand” but i have grown, i have moved a step further into son-ship. The Lord depend so much on me and He is willing to be patient with me until perfection is a manifestation.

So the beauty of the pain is growth, growth attract more commitment and blessings follows.

Just remember I can only give what I have. My painful experience has brought me nothing but joy and out of that joy I am sharing with you that no matter how terrible your present state is, joy is looming around. It will show forth if you let it.

I believe in you but the Lord believes in you more than I do.

It is sometimes very difficult and out rightly unthinkable to believe that some situations can or will ever change. It becomes even more unimaginable when one cannot find a hiding place in the midst of association of experiences (i.e one is unable to find a comparism of their present situation in other individuals both past and present). At that point, you are simply alone in the world. A young believer going through this phase can easily go in search of other way around or the other path that can guarantee freedom from deadlines, anxiety, pain and disappointments. These seeds or siblings of trouble have caused many in times past to doubts the promised change and so they bow to pain and close their eyes in death, they bow to doubt and are robbed off of their glory. Many that remain in the battle with a fixed mind of an assured victory are loosing their grip on faith by the day.

Just few minute before I decided to pick up my pen and write this piece, I was caught up between two opinions and a thought dropped in my mind; “why not just put down that book and forget the Bible you are holding? Its not working out as you thought”. In other words, I was advised to give up my faith. Have you ever thought this way?

You should ask yourself, how come it took God about eighty (80) years to answer the cry of help when the children of Israel were afflicted in Egypt?

God watched and waited on Moses for forty years in Egypt and it took another forty years in the wilderness to prepare him and let him know that he was born to be the leader of a new nation (Ex 2,3 and 4).

My father has a love for plants, especially flowers and I have watched him nurture several little young plants to full bloom since I was but just a kid. Till this day, he still likes to plants and water flowers and enjoys seeing them flourish WITH TIME.

As a child, it had simply been about watching my father thrust fragile little plants in the earth and pouring water from time to time. Now, as an adult, I began to notice and consider the time and patience he puts into nurturing this things. It all began when he notices specie of plant that he doesn’t already have, he’d consider it for a while then ask the owner if he could break off a little part of the plants and then he’ll take it home and begin the process of nurturing. All the while I wondered what is he trying to do? Why can’t he just go to the nursery and buy a whole plant? But then, who would think of buying flowers when there was not enough to eat in the house. But inability to buy grown plants never altered my father’s passion for plants, he simply bred them on his own.

In short, I walked past those flowers day by day like every other familiar thing and it seemed the same but now I know that was simply because I never took my time to look deep into the soil, but one day, suddenly, I’d walk past the corridor where the plant always sat and there it is, full bloom, having it’s own roots and I hadn’t even noticed even though I’ve been in that same house all the while. Perhaps I was busy thinking of how to buy my father a plant from the nursery while a growth was taking place right under my nose.

Had I not been in this business of waiting myself, then it would have been easier to write on this subject of an awaited change, but we seem to be on the same boat.

I believe in change, because the word of God says it will come (Hab 2:3).

By way of testimony, let me share with you that my immediate younger brothers (twins- the last set of my parents eight (8) children) just graduated few weeks ago from a private university where they each pay a huge amount of money per session besides transportation and upkeeps. This with the fact that my family started out in one room apartment and we had countless days when there was no food to eat and mom even had to breastfeed these same Twins on an empty stomach. Today, we are all graduates. To God be the glory.

Don’t let your present state in life cloud your judgment of the future, because change is real. It just takes a process like every other thing (cooking, schooling, e.t.c) and always keep in mind the promise of God for they that wait upon him (Isaiah 40:31)

His word is living and powerful.

DARK SKIES
Someone once told me that the darkest hours are few hours just before dawn…

Often times, we find ourselves in situations where we think its too bad to hope for a change. People carry around heavy hearts while trying to figure out situations that seem impossible to solve. The question is; can there ever be a situation that won’t pass away?
We tend to say: I’m so caught up in this messy situation that I don’t know if I’ll be able to get out. I’ve gone around in search of a solution, I even try looking for a way to avoid facing it from time to time but it keeps hanging right over my head. And sometimes to worsen matters, everyone seems to be singing the same song.

While trying to tend to my own heavy heart just few days ago, I was told of a lady whose father passed away just three (3) days to her wedding and she’s torn between simply putting off her guest and well wishers while she tends to her wounded heart or smile to the world like its all right while her father lays fresh at the morgue.

What testimony is in the heart of a young lady who fails her final exams and lost her mom to leukemia at the same time? Yet she has to face the reality of picking up the responsibility of bringing up and catering for her young siblings.

While planning a condolence visit to her, her Pastor said to a friend, “the church will have to support and encourage her more now” while in his heart, he’s thinking of how he’s been trecking to church for meetings and still has to arrange transportation for members who can’t afford it just to make sure they have no hindrance to attending church meetings.

Thinking of how to encourage this people, I discovered I could only come up with tears and these words “its dark everywhere, hmm”

Reflecting on those words later, I concluded that the darkness is not a period that can be wished away but it is one that comes to everyone. While some people hide behind sleep or cringe away in fear of what comes with the darkness, others look beyond the darkness and prepare for the morning light which is sure to come. (Psalm 30:5). Morning may serve to remind some people of their troubles and it may bring to you hope for a change, but I have good new for you, you can determine what the morning brings to you.

Keep in mind that darkness (dark skies) can mean two things:- Its nighttime and a new day is soon to break or its time for rain and the harvesting season is near. Here’s the crux of it; the thicker the darkness, the closer the sawn and the darker the cloud is, the heavier the rain and the more bountiful the harvest.

Even though I really don’t know anything, I do know that; there is One so faithful enough to see you through; He will give a meaning to your present situation.

...WHAT LIFE DEPENDS ON YOU?

“I think am part of the school of thought that strongly believes what an individual believe determines how far he/she will go” …buf akpan
Many are just passive, while many will move in whatever they know will encourage life: many prefer writing down how they lived their lives immediately it is confirmed their days are numbered, while others (few) will write down how they will live their lives if given additional five years in what the doctor says but they sometimes seem to be wrong having had faith in God and I want to ask: do these people who sometimes hold unto God kin’ of gamble with the fact or God just decide to let them down?
Hmmm! A prominent man some few years ago born into a Christian home once had his faith in God and while his twin brother was sick, he prayed, fasted and believed his brother whom he loved so much will be saved from death by the prayer of the saints but the opposite was the case as his brother stopped breathing and became one of those due for six feet below in flesh and because of this, he lost faith in all things and died in the belief that God is far from being real.
Even though many have tried and attempted answering this question which exists almost in the heart of all men, they only end up adding more to the confusion many find themselves in. Yet, God is not the author of confusion but He just decides to be silent in some things while sometimes, He speaks but because we are carried away viewing things the way we are and not the way they really are.
The way things are
Our imaginations can only comprehend what we’ve been exposed to, but there are a lot more greater things we can attain if we believe;
“By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen”…Heb 11:3
That’s why I believe there’s something beyond fate and that’s faith. Many only decide to believe what the doctor has to say and too many times they easily give up on life. Am not an advocate of stupidity but I know what you decide to hold on to determines how long you can dominate and live a fulfilled life even with the evidence of difficulties until you see your desired result.
Recently I was sharing with my friend how I held unto God’s word for a particular area of my life for nine years until what I believed came to pass. The very first year I never knew the result will be seen at the ninth year, but I knew for sure God’s word can never fail even if I fail.
At a point in my life I saw my self as an epitome of poverty, lack, rejection and dejection but I can today say that God is faithful without been sorry to anyone, I can preach about the knowledge that God is constantly sitting on the case of anyone that depends on Him at all times (My last article really focused in this direction of total dependence on God).
At this point I can confidently say that often times, many that finds disappointment in God only decide to give up too soon to fear rather than facing the challenge or the possibility of His Faith changing their situation, not knowing they have nothing to lose if they try to believe they could actually become a reference to someone somewhere who might find him/herself in their present situation, therefore setting themselves up for disappointment because of their expectation.
So, what life depends on you? Just wait one more day for your deliverance will come.

Sometimes God is agonizingly slow in solving the problems we bring to his notice but I have never seen a man that has ever received his request from God in a rush and ever appreciated it, uh-oh!
Someone is asking if it is because we should appreciate what we receive from God that He sometimes prefers we face trials before we receive anything from Him?” The answer is NO, but what I passionately believe is that God wants each and everyone of us to get to that level where we place all our trust on Him and that’s when all anxiety cease because we have reasons to be relaxed when we are conscious of the fact that He’s is control even though many do not get to know who they really are until they encounter a set back।My life is an example of those set of पीपुल.
i staarted Speakingpeace publication that now have access is over ten thousand people across the world during my worst nightmare. Just at the time I thought I was the worst God has ever created was when people kept on calling to tell me my one page news, letter has been a blessing to them, like someone said to me just a day before that he keeps those news letter in a special file and reads them often and often to receive encouragement even though encouragement is from God, it comes through a medium. Someone (Carol) dropped this comments to my blog: “Great insight. My best friend passed away leaving behind a two year old daughter. God is the source of hope for us all... Thank you for writing it so beautifully...”. To even think that I have over two thousand subscribers of which some have decided to be seeking for my counsel whenever they want to take a step and some of them often encourage me time after time is enough to cease all anxieties.
I believe now, that when someone knows where he/she is heading, there is no need for a rush. Many wants to kill themselves on the work or dream that has been committed to their hands by God Himself and I know that nobody will be sent on an errand without being giving the necessary things needed to accomplish the same but when we tend to want to move faster than the one that counted us worthy to commit the same into our hands, then pain and suffering is inevitable. I have told myself several times that Speakingpeace is not about me but about Jesus who is the prince of peace Himself and why will I be presenting myself to know better than Him or the step to be taking. He knows all I need to publish and speak peace and if actually He committed the same into my hands, then he has to make the necessary provision to reach out to the people. He will lead us to, without mixing things up because He has a better vision.
Beloved, the major purpose of this thought is to let you know with God, you can pass through your most difficult moment with ease. Am not among those that will promise a life without trials, it isn’t biblical but we can live everyday of our lives in peace, with ease depending on your awareness on the way God operates, which enables you to still put on a smiling face even in difficult period, which in turns give glory to God because reasons will be made available to you to praise God.
Am only interested in the need to believe the best is available to you no matter how terrible things become, a life of peace is worth living, a life without anxiety is worth living always giving glory to the Source of all things and people will keep asking why you still find reasons to be joyful even in the midst of troubles and the secret of this is when we all learn how to show gratitude to our Maker.
Wallaced D. Watlless have a better way he described it;
“The whole process of a mental readjustment and atonement can be summed up in one word, gratitude.”
He also put it in another lovely way;
“It is easy to understand that the nearer we live to theSsource of wealth, the more wealth we shall receive: and it is easy also to understand that the soul that is always grateful lives in closer touch with God than the one which never looks to him in thankful acknowledgment”.
He continued by also saying that;
“Gratitude alone can keep you looking towards the All, and prevent you from falling into the error of thinking of the supply as limited; and to do that would be fatal to your hopes”,
He also said that; “the grateful mind is constantly fixed upon the best, therefore it tends to become the best, it takes the form or character of the best, and will receive the best and give the best”.
I believe when some of us listing to peoples testimony, we will even be asking for forgiveness from God because we realize He has been faithful to us. Let’s learn how to hold on to God at all times without any doubts because His deliverance is never too late. Anxiety can cease only when we know God has the best for us. You can become someone’s hero of faith by the life you decide to live from this day on and the real fact and the truth is that, it is until all anxieties cease that God moves more on our behalf because it encourages trust and helps Strengthens our Faith.
Remember that “the labour of the righteous leads to life”. Proverbs 10:16a
Finally, if you should loose anything in the quest for survival, let it be yourself, loose yourself into greatness, loose yourself into immortality by putting off mortality in your mind that will automatically influence your attitude. Loose your cynicism. Loose your doubts to faith in God which becomes grater than fate. Loose your unbelief. Empty your day of search for security; fill them with passion for service. Empty hours of the ambition for recognition that produces frustration, but fill them with the aspiration for achievement that only gives glory to God. Empty your moment of need for entertainment, and above, loose your anxiety that will set you free like the wind, the moon and the sun.

Hope Written In The Sky

I looked at Mercy, so innocent and full of life, with the confidence of a glorious future all written on her face. It looked so Ironical to me, comparing her look to the present reality; being a little girl who lost her father when she was barely six months and her grand father few days after she clocked a year, even though grand dad was 75. What about her mom who had to leave for the National Youth Service, popularly known as NYSC in Nigeria, where any newly graduated individual had to serve the nation, before he/she can be considered a graduate seeking for a job; And mommy had to go to fit into the society properly, to at-least secure what I call a programmed future, leaving Mercy in the hands of a bigger sister, who also had her challenges to face.

Mercy never seems to be asking the question, “Did mommy have to go leaving me in this cold world she just introduced me into?” I have on the other hand, never stopped pondering on series of questionable incidences around the world, Just like you have never stopped asking questions about life, future, seeking the right direction to go and sometimes blaming God or the people around you for your present state without considering the fact that there were those times you were like Mercy, when you never had to worry about how you were going to eat or be clothed, not because you knew people were responsible for it, but because it was only supernatural for a provision to have been made, even before you were brought forth.

Yet you worry as if you can think better than the Provider, as if your being has been kept by your knowledge.

I was scared to realize that hope was written in the sky for Mercy, which is why she could smile, and I saw it (hope) reflected on her face.

Look up to the sky, what does it say? “It is over for you or there’s surely hope, there is surely better days ahead”.

No matter how dark the cloud might be, it will brighten up again. No matter how long, it can never be darkened for 24 hours.

If Mercy has hope, beloved, you have no excuse because “God having provided some better things for us….” Heb. 11:40.

Nothing Behind

It’s so good to be out here, feeling the freshness of the air but imagining what the people God cares so much about are going through just some miles away from me in Kenya; asking myself, will the present situation turn to war? While many were shown on Euro News and MBI (Minaj Broadcast International) fleeing their place that used to be a comfort zone, some others were stoned dead and its been confirmed about 300 are now dead, while about 70 have been displaced from their homes, yet others were seen looting. Kenya used to be one of the most peaceful nations in Africa but is today facing troubles carried over from 2007 and no one knows how long it’s going to last.

I woke up on the other hand this morning with a heavy heart without knowing specifically what was wrong even though I went to bed on top of the world sensing my life between May 2007 and December 31, 2007 was like a tale of a talebearer who suddenly finished the sad part of his story, opening another page of another chapter with hopes, blessing, grace, and love. But with these evidence of a better day still filled with pains and a sorry heart of how His creator felt about his imperfection(s), the creator who still decided to lift him in his mistakes; tears sliding down continuously, wanting to carry the burdens of those around him but with an echo in his heart saying, “move forward, move forward, move forward to great beginnings, move forward to the fullness of His (God’s) glory.

2007 is gone and gone forever, there’s sunshine now. The sun has risen and only risen to shine. Wipe your tears because after your tears is a glittering face. Yes I know what it means to make mistakes, I know what it means to be delayed, I know what it means to be called names, but I also know a heart full of desires is better than a heart full of regrets—so am neither going to think about my failures nor my success but on my visions and dreams.

Welcome to a whole new year, many almost made it: is it about the young man that was shot dead on the 31st or the young woman that was caught up in a car crash on the 23rd of December, seen by my fiancé besides the express way with blood all over her, or those we saw at the hospital on the 24th lying on their sick bed without any hope of celebrating the festive period with their families (I mean there was no single bed empty but all filled with casualties) and all I could say with passion is, thank God they still have their lives.

If a tree is cut down, there is still hope it will bud again, but is there hope in the grave? Throughout my life have been waiting for the change that will and has surely manifest(ed) because I believe; making all things possible for me.

Have been away for some time now trying to learn balance but my heart never left you for a moment, more so, for many that wrote to find out what has become of buf in recent times. I really want to say I appreciate you even more than you can ever imagine. You make me feel so great and important. Thank you.

It took troubles; it took pains to know the right direction to go.
Just at the time I was beginning to feel all is right, even though I didn’t consider my success was affecting my relationships, my time was continuously stolen away all in the name of striving for survival and riches, operating in the realm of what I could comprehend (physical) as I started living on the finances I could generate despising the great grace of the Father…

I have learnt within this short period that only the Father, who should be our source will hand you riches with one hand and your time with the other hand because He gives in the beauty of all times. The perfect way of having or living in abundance is receiving from Him.

I love my life, I love my experiences for, the same way I love your life and experiences.

One thing all human seek after is the blessing of abundance in time, money, life, health and wealth. All men seek a better day or better days in life but only few seek after a relationship with the only real source of those things.

The Source is not even considered or remembered neither appreciated the moment man thinks he has enough to fill the Tommy, a shelter to protect from the scourge of the sun and the rain, cold and a means to ease himself in the time of heat but the moment his pleasure is threatened, a little time he seem not to understand his state then he learns how to go back to the Source of all things and for those who will never be humbled enough will declare it’s their right to have a good life, so the Source seem not to be reasonable or make sense.

“As water wears away stones, And as torrents wash away the soil of the earth; So you destroy the hope of man”

So! Can man ever strike a balance in his ways as an attempt in seeking Understanding?
Can man ever learn the best path to tread as an attempt in seeking understanding?

When will man understand he is the joy but could desire to be sorrow depending on the meaning he/she gives to the things that happens to him/her?

Sometimes I am anxious to attain a desired end but fail to understand beauty has to be present for my desired end to be a blessing. Yet only One can give beauty because He’s the source of all things, even as you read He speaks to you right there.

MAY BE YOU’VE SAID GOODBYE

Why do I have to be chosen in much suffering? I thought God should be able to stop my difficulties, because am faithful to His commands, doing the right thing with prayers and fasting but my pain and agony is not measurable. Sometimes I feel I should fly away form shame even though I sometimes also have the strength to believe God’s faithfulness is guaranteed, but another time the hope of at least a better day fades away like smoke and my whole life is so blurred in the darkness of confusion—what will it take God to just grant my desires? Even though anytime I open my mind to consider the numerous trials all around me, I feel have been unfaithful not to have said “I bless you Lord in my situation”.

Imagine a three month baby lost her father in the process of making sure the baby grows up to call him a responsible father; he struggled in labour all the days of his life to make life a place for his baby—what will this baby ask her mom when she’s of age, I looked at the mother recently and all I could say was “God you understand” but how do I tell her God is faithful with pain written all over her, faced with the responsibility of taking care of her baby as a single parents and pressures from families, she said with a sigh “are these things actually working for my good? ”

Her expression shows she’s about saying goodbye, she’s given up on hope, faith and trust but waiting to be told there’s hope with the assurance of beauty in His (God) timing but you are also about saying goodbye without considering she needs you to tell her there’s hope.

Indeed it is difficult to give when you think you don’t have but I believe your hope shall be made more revealed when you give hope to others. A perfect model is when Jesus gave hope to the saint at the right hand on the cross (you could call him a thief) even when people thought it was over for the Messiah (Luke 23:43).

Hmmm! I saw an old friend recently, looking terrible and desperate to receive money from me but I thought what I had was even too little for my immediate need and never gave to him, but with few steps forward my heart smote me in pain and regret; why didn’t I give to him but he was immediately out of sight and ever since then God has never stopped emphasizing that am a solution even when you have to give your life for others in money, time and substance.
Your difficulties are just there to let you know how it feels for people out there going through the pains you’ve gone through. How many more will say goodbye if you say goodbye.

It’s not time to say goodbye but a time to share the hope of His (God) faithfulness:

“the problem of pain indeed has to do with how individuals allow any experience to affect him/her. The most difficult experience can likewise bring joy into our heart only if we allow joy to flow and flourish within”
